About Willieboy's Barbecue
The Story Behind the Smoke
Willieboy's Barbecue began competing in Barbecue Competitions in 2014 under the original name Willieboy's "Squealin' Smoke" Barbecue.
At the time, it fit the energy, but after hearing our name called incorrectly at awards ceremonies, we realized something: clarity matters.
So we simplified it.
Willieboy's Barbecue.
This business grew from years of Garrett and his Pops working side by side, learning temperatures the hard way, adjusting recipes, refining process, and holding each other accountable to getting better.
As the business evolved from a hobby into catering and then eventually into a full-time food truck, Garrett has stepped into the role of leading cooks independently, trimming briskets before sunrise and managing fires through the night but the foundation hasn't changed.
Pops still says it best:
"There wouldn't be a Boy without the Willie."
